Knowshon Moreno‘s time as a Georgia Bulldog is over. Moreno leaves UGA as one of the best running backs in Dawg history and a top NFL prospect. It’s now time to shift this website’s focus to his potential as an NFL athlete. We all know he has potential to be very special at the next level. He wouldn’t have come out early if he didn’t think so himself.
Below are the latest mock drafts and the positions they rank Knowshon. Over the next few weeks/months we’ll analyze this.
Draft Countdown – #21 – Arizona Cardinals
New NFL Draft – #12 – Denver Broncos
Walter Football – #19 – Tampa Bay Bucs
Draft King – #17 – New York Jets
As you can see, most of the mocks have him in the mid 1st round. Knowshon Moreno will either be the 1st or second running back taken… his only other competition is Chris ‘Beanie’ Wells. there are a lot of teams that are in need of a RB. Denver comes to mind, but I doub’t they’d use the 12th pick on him.
overwhelmingly…..experts seem to think moreno will go to the jets. jet RBs are getting up there in age and moreno could work slowly into the system. however, will rex ryan as new head coach….will he go for a defensive player?!
many people think knowshon will be headed to arizona….if warner stays around..they will have the recievers and a new running back to fill in for aging edgerrin james.
philadelphia eagles….theres a possibility. how old is westbrook, and hasnt he played with injuries this past year? i am not an eagles fan at all……but i guess i could be
san diego……what beats the weather in san diego? knowshon could fit in nicely here…..although i would much prefer him in the tri state area. LT has been much less than expectations.
denver broncos, tampa bay….even the packers. well, the packers have ryan grant right, so i dont think he will go there. it would be cool having an all-state NJ backfield
i have seen him as low as 9 and as high as 28. lets hear some opinions out there…..where do you think he will go and why?
and for those following cushing, it seems like miami is the team that will take him. parcells likes these jersey kids but, honestly i dont think he will be available unless they can trade up for a higher pick.
